Like sister company Hyundai, Kia is in the midst of a new-product blitz that started a little over a year ago. Since the second half of 2009, the South Korean automaker has refreshed its lineup with a slew of new models such as the Forte Koup, Cadenza sedan, Venga mini MPV, Sorento, Sportage and Optima sedan.

Now, following the announcement on the completely redesigned Picanto city car that will break cover at the Geneva Show, our spy photographers snapped the next new model to be added to Kia's range, the 2012 Rio subcompact, while testing in Germany.

Hyundai - Kia Group Targeting a 10-Percent Increase in Sales for 2011

For the Hyundai Motor Group and its affiliate Kia Motors, the New Year brings a new sales target as the South Korea's largest automaker said on Monday it aims to sell 6.33 million cars in 2011, which represents a 10 percent increase over 2010 when the company sold a combined total of 5.75 million units. 2011 Kia Pro_cee'd Facelift Leaked Ahead of Geneva Salon Debut

Photos of the mildly refreshed Kia Pro_cee'd are making the internet rounds before the car's scheduled world premiere at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in early March. The most obvious visual changes concern the restyled front end that brings the three-door version of the European market Cee'd more in line with Kia's latest offerings.

Along with the new H-shaped front grille finished in black, the 2011 Pro_cee'd also gains restyled headlamps and a reworked bumper. Kia to Start Assembly of New Model at its Slovakian Plant in 2012

Hyundai Motor Co. and affiliate Kia Motors Corp. are certainly on a roll after overtaking Toyota as the biggest Asian carmaker in Europe and have no plans of stopping any time soon. According to a report citing Slovak news agency TASR, Kia wants to begin production of a new model at its European plant in 2012.

“We launched two new models this year and we want to launch a new model in 2012”, In-Kyu Bae, head of Kia Motors Slovakia told reporters, after a meeting with Prime Minister Iveta Radicova.

The brand-new Kia Forte Koup is Kia's first two-door coupe and a sibling to the new Forte sedan, Which is Kia's replacement for its sad-sack Spectra and its answer to cars like the Honda Civic, the Toyota Corolla, and the Mazda3 . The Kia Forte Koup's fresh, modern styling is definitely a strong point. Along with the Forte sedan, it represents a new design direction for Kia, Which is making a big effort to distinguish its products Visually from corporate parent Hyundai's. The Koup's mesh grille and air intake are part of a new Kia family signature look That you'll see on more cars in the future. We drove two examples of the upper trim levels, the SX; one with a manual transmission and black cloth upholstery, the other with an automatic and black leather.
