Chevrolet is using the Paris auto show to roll out a five-door version of the Cruze, its much-anticipated little car.
The Cruze rides on General Motors' worldwide compact underpinnings called Delta. It will be exposed Sept. 30 and is one of four Chevy premieres at the show.
The Cruze hatch is a usual fit for Europe, where the segment accounts for 65 percent of volume in the compact segment.
A Chevy spokesman told there are no tactics to sell the hatch in the United States at this time. It goes on auction in Europe in the middle of next year.
The Cruze sedan ultimately replaces the Cobalt in the United States. It goes on trade in late September and will be built in Ohio.
