Porsche recently bagged the Goldene Plakette award at an award ceremony held by the TÜV Federation in Berlin. The prestigious award was accepted by Bernhard Maier, Chief Executive Officer Porsche Deutschland, on behalf of the firm. “We are delighted to receive this prize. In addition to driving dynamics and efficiency, value retention and reliability are core characteristics of our series, as the Technical Monitoring Associations could establish in its inspections”, said Maier.
Porsche has been ranked first in terms of quality and reliability. But Porsche’s very own classic sports car christened 911 wasn’t left behind. The car was also ranked as number one in terms of quality and reliability in the two - to three - year old vehicles and the six - to seven – year old vehicles category.
The current TÜV report is on the basis of an assessment of more than 7.4 million general inspections carried out by the Technical Monitoring Association in Germany. These inspections have been undertaken within a period of twelve months. Porsche’s 911 and Boxter have been the first rankers for its superior long term quality for the previous years as well.
