EcoBoost upcoming to Entire Ford Lineup, 247-hp 2012 Ford Focus ST Airs

Ford's EcoBoost packages existing engine developments into a cohesive package for fuel economy and power.

Turbocharging and gasoline direct injection (GDI) have been around for some time currently, but periodically included on various models. Ford took these technologies and other engine refinements and created the EcoBoost brand name which it relates to its new forced induction gasoline engines.

Ford this week let slip a few details on one of the upcoming models that will receive EcoBoost -- the Ford Focus. The EcoBoost-packing variant will be showcased at the Paris Motor Show, which is available on this month.

As the 2012 Ford Focus Electric (a battery-electric-vehicle) is stealing most of the headlines these days, the EcoBoost-ed 2012 Ford Focus ST is certain to turn some heads as well. The vehicle is the successor to the recent international model and will put back the current North American-exclusive model, part of Ford phase-out its North American-exclusive designs.

It packs an EcoBoost 2.0 L inline-four cylinder engine that makes 247 hp. When the car is officially revealed in Paris we should hear more about the torque and target gas mileage.

Toyota to launch six latest hybrid cars

Toyota plans to launch six fresh hybrid vehicles by the end of 2012, a company spokesman has said, as competition to construct greener cars increases.

The raise will take Toyota's total number of hybrid models to 20.

The Wall Street Journal stated that two would be luxury brand Lexus models and four would be Toyota vehicles.

Rival Nissan's Leaf electric car is due in the US and Japan later this year, and Honda is to begin selling electric cars in those markets in 2012.

As well as the new hybrid models, which run on petrol and electricity, Toyota will also reveal a fully electric version of its RAV4 sports utility vehicle later this year, the spokesman said.

The model, developed with its US partner Tesla, will be exposed at the Los Angeles auto show in late November.

2011 Chevrolet Captiva Facelift discovered

Chevrolet announced that one of their most recent premieres at the upcoming Paris Motor Show will be the new edition of Captiva Crossover.

The new car comes with a new look at front which is based on the new design language that also created the 2011 Aveo.

2011 Captiva’s interior is also very smart and can be adapted to seat five to seven people. That makes it very appropriate for the European market, for which it was built in the first place; ans so does its on-demand all-wheel-drive system.

2011 Chevy Captiva comes with three new powerful engines that will come as standard with a fresh manual or automatic six-speed transmission. There’s a 2.4-litre dual overhead cam gasoline unit with changeable valve timing, developing 171 hp, and two 2.2 litre common rail turbo-charged diesel units with 163 and 184 hp.

The passengers will be feeling very protected inside the Captiva as it comes with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS) and Braking Assist System (BAS) standard, as well as front-, side- and curtain airbags.

The new Captiva will be commenced in Europe in Spring of 2011.

Finally the Hyderabad transport department has officially placed a Grievance Redressal System (GRS) to tackle the plentiful inconsistencies that is happening during the problem of smart cards.

Mr. Premachandra Reddy the transport commissioner officially announced to the press members that the distressed persons who are affected by the problem can register their problem from September 13.The problems or the complaints can be registered ay ringing 1100 or 18004251110.

As soon as the affected member registers the complaint, the particular person will receive the message in the mobile. After that the compliant will be forwarded to the concerned department regarding the problem and the immediate actions will be taken. If the problem is not solved in the period of seven days .The complained will be straight away passed to the higher officer.

Representative said that the complaint connecting to the learner’s license, driving license, temporary registration, registration, taxation, permit, vehicle check reports, fitness certificate will be addressed by the GRS

STATE ROAD TRANSPORT TO INTRODUCE GREEN BUSES

The Maharashtra state road transport has resolute to bring the green buses

What is this green bus? The bus will run in the bio-diesel that is said to be green bus. These green buses is not having any adverse effect on the bus engines This is the third state that has joined the hands with the first two state Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh were they are using the green buses in these states.

Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation official said that all the buses in the thane division will use the green buses for the next five months. An average of 247 depots will start using the bio-diesel, where they are saving nearly 15 crores yearly as far as concerned as a rough estimation. The main significant is that the pollution level will reduce nearly by 50 to 60 percent.

A trial has been implemented in Pune division where 20% of bio-diesel is mixed with the ordinary diesel which reduces the pollution level and the expense by 15 to 20 paisa/km.

The other vehicles including the cars have included the knowledge that makes them 100% well suited. Last year itself the Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport has signed an agreement that they will supply 16.4 lakh liters of bio-diesel a year for its 265 buses.

So we need to appreciate this technology surely.

Mercedes sales more 22%

Global sales of Mercedes-Benz had a 22% growth in last August, accounting for about 81 000 vehicles sold.

Since the beginning of this year, the German brand sold a total of 735,400 vehicles, 16% more than the same period in 2009.

According to the manufacturer, the growth seen in August is supported by good business performance in three main markets for Mercedes-Benz: Germany (17%), USA (10%) and China (113%).

The E-Class includes a list of most wanted models of Mercedes-Benz in the world, having recorded a sales increase of about 38%.
